City Safari drivers have done protesting in Itahari against the sanctions imposed for city safari to operate in the highway.

According to the route permit city Safari must operate but it operated in mismanaged way at highway due to which the road accident started increase so, Eastern Regional Traffic Police Office, Itahari has banned the operation of city safari in the highway of Itahari.

According to the rules, city safaris are not allowed to operate in the highways inside the Itahari Sub- Metropolitan area. But, safari drivers have been doing strike in Itahari protesting on demanding that they should let to drive their safaris even at the highway and chowks.

The city safari drivers have blocked the road by keeping their vehicles on the road. At the four corner of the Itahari safari drivers have blocked the road by keeping vehicles due to which vehicles and of long and short distance have been stranded at the street.

The driers complained that they have bought their vehicles in loans and as they were not allowed to run their vehicles in highway because of which it has been effected in their dally income. The drivers had protested heavily against the traffic police, Itahari sub- metropolitan and political parties of Itharai.

Since, as the vehicles are carrying the passengers at the highway and courtyard according to their free will it has become very difficult to the traffic police to arrange the traffic. Because of the reason of raising vehicle fare as their own free will with the passengers too the last time local people have complained that city safari are becoming jostling rather than of easier.
