Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stated that his upcoming visit to India will focus on improving the relations between Nepal and India. Speaking at the Direct Talk with Prime Minister programme aired by the state-owned Nepal Television on Saturday evening, PM Dahal further said that his top agenda during the India trip would be towards enabling environment for mutual trust and warming the ties that seemed to sour during the promulgation of new constitution and border blockade. Dahal also shared that he was soliciting suggestions from the diplomats and foreign affairs experts to take stock about the implementation part of the deals sealed with the southern neighbour and agreements made between Nepal and India during his visit to India. The PM claimed that the policies and programmes presented during his address in Parliament were in favour of people. “It was relevant to provide Rs 800,000 in grant assistance and loan to each family to build their houses damaged by the earthquake of April 25, 2015 as thousands of rupees of the state coffer remains unused.”Revealing government’s plans to help people victimised by landslides and flooding across the country lately, the PM said the government was preparing to respond to the victims of the disasters with reliefs.
