It has been seen that the major reason of the boat accident that had happened nine days ago, in Koshi River that had come to Prakashpur to fill the market from Srilanka island of Sunsari is because of consuming alcohol by boat driver.

Boat driver Tufani Chandrabanshi had done boating consuming alcohol due to which the accident had happened and it has been said in the proposal that had been made by District Administration Office, Sunsari after the investigation.

Three members of the investigation that have been formed in the coordination of Assistant Chief District Officer Kamal Thapa have made the boat accident incident report public. According to the report, among two drivers, Chandrabanshi had driven the boat having alcohol and another boat driver Theku Chandrabanshi had survived by swimming.

However, Tufani Chandrabanshi is still missing. Similarly, it also has been seen that as the boat was carrying more passengers than its capacity and also because of overload it has become difficult to control. And also another reason of boat accident was to neglect the growing flood in Koshi River during the time of accident.

In the report is also has been included that the more numbers of passengers are missing because of not giving the passengers to use life jacket compulsorily. For long term solution, recognizing the locals of Srilanka Island and transfer the settlement area and that area would be kept as the protected area by the government, these things too have been included in the report with great high priority.

In the report that has been submitted by the investigation team it has been included about the locals that have been living their lives being deprived from facilities and services provided by the government and have been living life in an unsafe manner are being hit by disaster every year.
