आश्विन ५, २०७३- नेपाल प्रहरीको प्रतिआतंकवाद गतिविधीको अनुसन्धान गर्ने विशेष ब्युरो, महानगरीय प्रहरी अपराध महाशाखा र काठमाडौं परिसरको टोली माओवादी कम्युनिस्ट केन्द्रका अध्यक्ष देवेन्द्रसिंह महतको खोजीमा खटिएको २४ घन्टा कटिसक्यो । तर टोली उनीसम्म पुग्न भने सफल भएको छैन ।

राजनीतिक मागको आवरणमा जबर्जस्ती पैसा उठाउन काठमाडौं उपत्यकाका ११ विद्यालयमा बम राखेर आतंक मच्याए पछि प्रहरी महतको खोजीमा कस्सिए पनि उनको सम्पर्कको जालो पहिल्याउन प्रहरीलाई हम्मेहम्मे परेको छ ।

सशस्त्र द्वन्द्वताका माओवादीका बटालियन सहायक कमान्डर रहेका उनी काठमाडौं बाहिर पुगिसकेको सूचना बाहेक थप प्रहरीले खुलाउन नसकेको अनुसन्धानमा संलग्न स्रोतले बतायो ।

२ महिना अगाडिसम्म उनले सरकारले आफ्नो माग पुरा नगरेको भन्दै काठमाडौंमा सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रमको आयोजना गरेका थिए । २०६९ र २०७१ मा सरकारी वार्ता टोलीसँगको वार्ता र जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालय मकवानपुरमा हतियार बुझाउन समेत महत नै संलग्न थिए ।

महानगरीय प्रहरी कार्यालयका प्रमुख एआइजी प्रतापसिंह थापाले मंगलबारको घटनाको मुख्य योजनाकार महत देखिएपछि खोजीका लागि विशेष प्रहरी टोली नै खटाइएको जानकारी दिए ।
