Chiranjeevee Pokhrel for DCnepal, June 13, 2016 - When 40 year old lady teacher eloped with a 16-year-old boy student, Ahmedabad shocked.Though it is said that love is blind and is above cast, belief, religion, color and all other boundaries, one must take into consideration the fact that one has to live in the society and follow certain rules which are made for betterment of human beings. Violation of such social norms results in devastation not merely of the person but also of others associated with him or her.

All and sundry has been taken aback by the shameful act of this 40-year-old teacher Manisha Joshi. Manisha used to tutor a minor student who lived in the same apartment. But no one got to know when the student started learning love lessons while reading his course books. Manisha was not unaware of the intentions of her 16-years-old student and gradually she, too, started falling in love with him. She used to think about him in loneliness and what it happened was unexpected and shocking.

Manisha fell in love with the minor student so deeply as she didn’t even care about social norms and both indulged in a physical relationship as well. She was dreaming of a fresh and new life with him and despite being a teacher, she forgot that he was just 16, who was neither mature nor eligible for this relationship.

It was difficult for her to live without him for a single moment and one day, both eloped far from the dwelling. From Ahmedabad, they went to Mumbai; and then they followed the route Surat, Bharuch, Rajasthan and back to Ahmedabad.
